A Grief that is Vast, Deep and Wide

My dear, sweet husband passed away on April 30, 2018 and I am bereft, overwhelmed by loss and grief.

The only path is forward and my family and friends are keeping me in motion.

Last week, I was at the Grand Canyon with my son and niece. One of the signs on the South Rim trail described the vastness of the Grand Canyon. “The mind struggles to comprehend it,” the sign reads. “Measurements like 1 mile deep, 18 miles wide and 277 river miles long leave us scratching our heads. Measure yourself up against it. We are minuscule in comparison…”

I pondered those measurements during my walk along the rim. My grief is far more vast, deep and wide.
